Inverclyde Swimming Location Registration of Interest

Register your interest in swimming lessons at the Waterfront Leisure Complex in Greenock

The Swim Free team are delighted to announce that free swimming lessons for young people from serving Royal Navy, Royal Marines, and Royal Fleet Auxiliary families will soon be available to book in Inverclyde, Scotland.

Funded by Greenwich Hospital and delivered in partnership with the Andrew Simpson Foundation, lessons will be delivered at the Waterfront Leisure Complex by our partner Inverclyde Leisure.

We’re inviting serving families to register their interest so we can shape the programme around young people’s current swimming abilities as best we can. Once the programme is ready to book, we’ll contact everyone who has registered.

Swimmer information

What is their swimming ability (tick as many that apply):

Beginner (Starfish / Octopus) – new to swimming, may use floats or need full support in the water.

Water Confident (Goldfish) – happy in the water, can float and move with some assistance.

Early Swimmer (Angelfish) – can swim a few metres without aids and follow simple instructions.

Developing Swimmer (Shark) – can swim 10–25m with recognisable strokes and basic breathing.

Confident Swimmer (Advanced / Platinum) – can swim multiple strokes, 25m+ comfortably, and ready for technique or stamina improvement.

We have been offered a Monday evening slot in the swimming pool, from 6.30-7.30pm. Would that work for your family?
